In order to create a society you will need the following:
Once this is all collated, it must be sent to the HUS President at [email protected]
It will be reviewed by the President and then put to a vote to the HUS Committee at a meeting
If a majority of the committee are in favour then society will be successfully created and will be able to access funds from the HUS - £100 a year to start
A new society needs at the very least a nominated President, and a Treasurer
They cannot be the same person
You could also have a Vice-President, Social Secretary etc. but they are not required
They must be current students at Homerton College
The purpose of a constitution is to outline the purpose of the society and any rules it, and its constituents, must follow
It does not have to be long, and can be in the form of an action plan
An example template is below, though it was made a few years ago and it quite long
To be approved the society must have a rough budget outlining where the funds given by the HUS will be spent
